Creative Director

JASON WALKER

Choose a hiring lens

Give one strategic idea a complete creative life.

I lead ideas from strategic premise through campaign, identity, film and experience. My role is to align teams around one customer truth, protect the idea through execution and make every touchpoint feel born from the same belief.

01The beautiful solution

Fight for the beautiful solution.

Surprise. Appropriateness. Elegance.

Practice

How I direct the work

Creative direction gives the strategy a form people can feel, then protects that idea across every discipline and channel.

Begin with the strategic premise.

A campaign should be the most visible consequence of the strategy, not a separate layer placed over it.

Fight for the beautiful solution.

Beautiful work pursues three qualities: surprise, appropriateness and elegance. Surprise is the innovation that catches and holds attention. Appropriateness turns that attention into resonance instead of simple provocation. Elegance makes the solution economical and meaningful enough to stick with the customer.

Protect the idea.

Every frame, line, transition and channel either clarifies the central idea or weakens it.

Work across disciplines.

Bring design, writing, film, motion, interaction and experience into one creative grammar without erasing what each discipline does best.

Know when the work is finished.

Creative leadership requires enough conviction to keep refining and enough judgment to stop before refinement drains the life from the idea.

02Knowing when to stop

Stop before refinement drains the life from the idea.

Outcomes

Selected creative outcomes

Creative direction earns attention, makes strategy tangible and keeps the idea intact everywhere the customer encounters it.

  1. Frontline21

An integrated identity, campaign and live experience.

Built Frontline21 across positioning, narrative, film, email and conference activation. The campaign exceeded its lead-generation target by 3×, produced roughly 180 accounts from one email and reached 6,000+ attendees.

  2. Flagship agency campaign

$1.2M engagement and 18× the previous best result.

Represented the brand through the company’s first major agency engagement and protected the strategic and creative intent through execution.

  3. Victory identity system

Rebrand the product to rebrand the customer.

The category had attached shame and surveillance to the customer. Directing the 2025 Victory identity meant making every choice express becoming and formation instead, so the form carried the strategy rather than decorating it.

  4. Colossal Man

A recovery message became an entertainment property.

Used superhero mythology, film, animation, game and comic storytelling to make accountability memorable while preserving the customer’s dignity and agency.

  5. Radiant Mobile campaigns

Made the hidden effect of technology visible.

Directed Technology Changes Us and Chaos Not Included around one strategic position: technology shapes the household, and intentional structure gives people the ability to shape it back.

Fractional Marketing Leader

Radiant Mobile

Remote · May–June 2026

A short fractional engagement with America’s first Christian mobile wireless service. I led positioning, messaging, onboarding and lifecycle strategy, translated the network technology into language customers could understand, and began building the company’s first integrated marketing operating system.

  • Turned a differentiated network capability into a position customers could understand.
  • Designed the company’s first integrated marketing operating system, connecting workstreams to ownership, reporting and the customer journey.
  • Used AI-assisted workflows to accelerate research, comparison, writing and system development, with every output judged and released by a person.

Director of Creative Marketing

Covenant Eyes

Remote / Owosso, Michigan · 2018–May 2026

Creative and brand leadership inside an enterprise SaaS company, across eleven years with the company (2015–May 2026). In its first Creative Director role, I resolved a four-year strategic deadlock, led the 2020 Covenant Eyes rebrand, and went on to lead the 2025 Victory brand strategy and the portfolio architecture organizing Covenant Eyes, Victory, Five Stones and the supporting content brands.

  • Developed Frontline21 across identity, campaign, film, email and live experience.
  • Represented the brand inside the company’s first $1.2M agency engagement, protecting the strategic and creative intent through execution.
  • Directed Colossal Man across film, animation, game and comic storytelling.
  • Led The Healing Church identity, book design and campaign.
  • Directed the 2025 Victory identity system so every choice expressed becoming and formation rather than monitoring.
  • Directed a multi-brand portfolio without collapsing the brands into one visual voice.
