01 / Campaign Film
Unleash Your Inner Hero
The primary campaign film introduced Colossal Man’s central contradiction: even the strongest man in the world could have a weakness and need help overcoming it.
A fast overview of Colossal Man: how one advertising character became a narrative system carried across campaigns, a game, animation and a comic.
Colossal Man grew from an advertising character into a narrative system spanning live-action campaigns, an interactive 8-bit game, animation and a comic. Each expression used entertainment to make the tension between willpower and accountability tangible.
01The Animated Film
A character-driven animated story about the limits of willpower and the role of accountability — written with the creative team, with design, illustration and animation direction.
World Building · Character System
A single character became a system of allies, adversaries and consequences.
The character deck extended Colossal Man into a larger mythology, giving heroes, villains and supporting characters distinct identities, motivations and relationships. It made the world tangible enough to explore across film, games and future stories.
02Original Campaign · 2018–2019
The problem became a villain. Accountability became a sidekick. Recovery finally had a story.
As Creative Director for Covenant Eyes, I collaborated with Harmon Brothers to develop Colossal Man as a memorable way to communicate a difficult product story. The campaign translated willpower, temptation, accountability and recovery into the familiar language of superhero mythology.
These films established the character and the central rules of his world. Colossal Man could be extraordinarily strong and still have a weakness. Pornanite made that weakness visible. Accountability supplied what isolated willpower could not.

02 / Campaign Film
A supporting film that connected Colossal Man’s struggle to the role accountability plays in breaking an isolating cycle.
03 / Campaign Film
A darker expression of the mythology that made the consequences of Pornanite visible and connected the story to the Covenant Eyes product.
04 / Social Film
A social-format film built around the central campaign truth that strength does not eliminate the need for accountability.
05 / Social Film
A square-format film connecting the campaign to honesty, trust and recovery within marriage.
The campaign gave an abstract and often shame-laden subject characters, conflict and consequences an audience could immediately understand.
03Interactive Campaign · Willpower Game
The lesson was not explained. The player discovered it.
An email campaign invited potential customers to play a new Colossal Man video game. The CTA led to a landing page where visitors could play either a one-player or two-player version of a working 8-bit game.
One player
Colossal Man reaches the Pit of Temptation without enough resolve to cross it.
Two players
Jeff arrives with the support needed to move through the next temptation.
The game turned an abstract product claim into a consequence the player could feel. Instead of sending another advertisement, the campaign used technology as an experience, letting potential customers discover the limits of willpower and the value of accountability for themselves.
The campaign was well received. Exact acquisition and lead totals are no longer available.
04Kid Colossal · Comic
The subject was easy to avoid. The comic made it possible to begin.
Created as a booth giveaway for the 2024 National Eucharistic Congress, Kid Colossal used the visual language of superhero comics to help parents and adolescents begin a difficult conversation about pornography, shame, accountability and recovery.
